Books to start the journey

December 23, 2020 by waldorfkate

One of my favourite books to recommend to new parents is this one, it combines practical advice on what you need for your baby and a healthy approach to the first three years:

Pia Dogl lives locally but is active internationally promoting a gentle approach to parenting in the first three years. She has a website https://www.beginningwell.org/en/ and you can follow her on Facebook and Twitter.

Another book which is also anthroposophically based but written by two medical doctors is this one: https://www.florisbooks.co.uk/book/Michaela-Gl%26ouml%3Bckler/Waldorf+Guide+to+Children%27s+Health/9781782505297

I

It has a wide range of topics from rashes, food in the first year of life, an outline of Waldorf education, religion in the home, rhythm, the senses etc. I used this book a lot during my boys’ early years!
