Inspiring nature

June 11, 2026 by waldorfkate

Movement can find inspiration from the everyday miracles around us. The nigella, also known as Love-in-the-Mist, flower in my garden in early summer. They move from a small condensed sphere spiralling out towards the sky.

As they spiral out, they keep something of the rounded spherical form and begin to move towards full openness. As they do this, slowly and unimaginably quickly: their colour is deepening becoming more defined and blue.

Once their petals have opened, they are gathered together in a plane around the center – the sphere has become more like a disk, exposing what will become the seed pod.

When I am met by these small miracles in my garden, they inspire me to answer them with the Spacial Dynamics® exercise “The Pulsar”. The answer is a spiralling movement around the solar plexus/ heart space opening to the world. There is a moment I meet the bloom as open as she is, with my space extending to the blue sky and my heart filled with her inspiration.Good morning!
